The local hospitals provide emergency medical services. Citizens of some countries are covered by special agreements entitling them to reduced cost medical care. Tourists from countries that do not have an agreement must pay the entire cost of treatment and medicine.

- Emergency dental surgery is available at St. Eriks Hospital, Fleminggatan 22. Open from 8am to 8.30pm.
- After 8.30pm consult the emergency dentist on duty, 08-463 91 00. Information daily, 9am-7pm. 08-654 11 17.
CHEMISTS/DRUGSTORES/PHARMACIES
You will find several pharmacies ("Apotek" in Swedish) throughout the city. 24-hour service is available at: Apoteket Scheele, Klarabergsgatan 64 (close to the Central Station) 08-454 81 00 .
